In a significant development, former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is all set to fly to London for medical treatment, thanks to a special air ambulance arranged by the Amir of Qatar.
She is scheduled to leave Dhaka at 10 PM on Tuesday, making a brief stop in Doha before continuing her journey to London.
Dr. A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain, Khaleda Zia’s personal physician and a member of the BNP Standing Committee, made the announcement during a press conference held at her political office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Monday.
He also mentioned that the air ambulance is expected to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:30 PM today.
As for her treatment, Dr. Zahid confirmed that Khaleda Zia will receive care at one of London’s oldest and most well-equipped hospitals, ensuring she receives the best medical attention possible.
